Pogoń Szczecin won in Kraków after goals from Leo Borges and Paul Mukairu, defeating Cracovia 2:0 in an Ekstraklasa match.
The visitors took the lead early in the second half when Borges fired a precise shot into the far corner past Sebastian Madejski. Cracovia pushed for an equaliser but Kahveh Zahiroleslam missed two good chances. Wiktor Bogacz came on for Cracovia in the 67th minute, making only his second appearance for the club after recovering from injury.
Cracovia’s best chance to level arrived in the 75th minute when Mateusz Klich headed from close range, but Valentin Cojocaru made a superb foot save. In the dying moments, Pogoń punished Cracovia’s high defensive line, and Mukairu raced onto a through ball, rounded the goalkeeper and tapped into an empty net in the 90+4th minute.
It was the first loss for Bartosz Grzelak as Cracovia head coach, while Oskar Garcia celebrated his first win since taking charge of Pogoń Szczecin. The match was played in hot conditions, which contributed to a slower pace, especially in the first half.
Cojocaru made several key stops, including denying efforts from Beno Selan and Ajdin Hasic before halftime. Linus Wahlqvist was replaced by Hussein Ali in the 60th minute, and Fredrik Ulvestad came on for Maciej Wojciechowski at the same time.
