Pogoń Szczecin has made a strategic reinforcement of its scouting department by hiring three experienced specialists. The club has officially brought in Hendrik Bardohl, Stewart Brown and Tomas Kacerauskas to broaden its talent identification capabilities across key international markets.
Club president Alex Haditaghi emphasised the importance of these moves. “I am very pleased that we are strengthening our scouting department by adding Hendrik, Stewart and Tomas,” said Haditaghi. “They bring valuable experience, knowledge and a fresh perspective to our team.”
Each new staff member brings unique expertise. Hendrik Bardohl, who previously worked for Sturm Graz, specialises in evaluating players from African, French and South American markets. His role will involve live observations, including scouting trips, and preparing detailed reports combining video analysis with performance data.
Stewart Brown will take up the position of lead UK scout, responsible for identifying players for both the first and second teams. He gained prior experience at Sturm Graz and Dundee United FC, where he handled video and data analysis. His reports will go directly to the head of the scouting department, Benjamin Schunka.
Tomas Kacerauskas is a Lithuanian analyst and scout with experience working with clubs in Lithuania and Thailand. He will work from the club's headquarters in Szczecin, focusing on video analysis and sports statistics.
This backend strengthening is key for Pogoń's long-term recruitment strategy, especially in the context of the team's current form. The side has recorded one win, three draws and one loss (WDLDD) in its last five Ekstraklasa matches. It recently beat Wieczysta Kraków 2-0 at home, with the next test being a home fixture against Śląsk Wrocław on November 21.
