Pogoń Szczecin has officially confirmed the departure of three players. The contracts of Leonardo Koutris, Danijel Loncar, and Krzysztof Kamiński, which expire in less than two weeks, will not be extended. On Friday, June 19, the team will begin preparations for the new season without them in the squad. The most important figure among the departing trio was undoubtedly Leonardo Koutris. The Greek left-back joined Pogoń in January 2023 from his native Olympiakos and immediately became a key player. He worked well with Kamil Grosicki on one side, and in total, he played 133 games for the Szczecin club, scoring four goals and recording 12 assists. Now, it seems that the 30-year-old will leave Poland and return to his country. According to the Greek portal Sport24.gr, the player has received an offer from Asteras Tripolis, among others. The club will also part ways with Danijel Loncar, who joined Pogoń in the same transfer window as Koutris. The Croatian joined the Szczecin team from his native NK Osijek. However, he played significantly fewer games than the Greek - he appeared in 74 matches, scoring three goals and recording the same number of assists. The smaller number of appearances is due to the player's persistent health problems. In the previous season, however, the Croatian did not suffer any serious injuries, missing only six league games, but it was not enough to extend his contract. The third player to leave Szczecin is 35-year-old Krzysztof Kamiński. The experienced goalkeeper spent two years at Pogoń, but mainly played as a substitute for Valentin Cojocaru. He appeared in just seven games, and in two of them, he kept a clean sheet. These are the next players to leave Pogoń. Earlier, the club said goodbye to Kacper Smoliński, who joined the newly promoted Betclic 1. Liga team, Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała. Attila Szalai, whose loan from Hoffenheim has ended, has also formally left the team. However, the club's management does not rule out the possibility that the defender will stay with the team for longer. So far, only one player has joined Pogoń this summer - Patryk Dziczek from Piast Gliwice, whose transfer the club announced in the winter. Pogoń finished the previous season in ninth place in the table with 45 points. On Friday, the team will resume training, and on July 10, they will go to a training camp in Austria. Five friendly matches are planned - Thomas Thomasberg's team will face Dynamo Berlin, Zagłębie Lubin, Chrobry Głogów, Fenerbahce, and Sturm Graz.
