Pogoń Szczecin officially announced the departure of three players whose contracts end on June 30. The club did not take the opportunity to extend the contracts with Leonardo Koutris, Danijel Loncar, and Krzysztof Kamiński. Leonardo Koutris joined Szczecin in December 2022. With Pogoń, he twice advanced to the final of the STS Polish Cup and played in the Conference League qualifiers. He played a total of 133 games, including 116 matches in the PKO Ekstraklasa, in which he scored three goals and had nine assists. It is very possible that the left-back will return to his homeland, Greece, and Pogoń will count on his position on the high form of Leonardo Borges and Benjamin Mendy. Danijel Loncar joined Pogoń in February 2023. The central defender, like Koutris, twice reached the final of the Polish Cup with the team and played in the Conference League qualifiers. In the blue and burgundy colors, he made a total of 74 appearances, including 64 league games. The club is looking for a new central defender, unless they fail to agree on the purchase of Attila Szalai from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The shortest time in Szczecin was spent by goalkeeper Krzysztof Kamiński, who joined in May 2024 and made seven appearances: four in the league and three in the cup. His successor in the squad will be Nikolaos Botis. The club in an official statement thanked the departing players: We thank Leo, Danijel, and Krzysztof for their commitment and contribution to the development of Duma Pomorza, and we also wish them success in their further careers. Pogoń Szczecin is ready for new challenges and will continue to fight for success in the PKO Ekstraklasa. Fans can be calm that the club will do everything to stay in the league's top tier. The club's transfer moves will have a significant impact on the team's future. Pogoń Szczecin is one of the most successful clubs in Poland and will always fight for the highest goals.
