Pogoń Szczecin is launching new training groups exclusively for girls, expanding the reach of its women's section. The Pogoń Szczecin FS Girls project is now recruiting for the skrzat, żak, and orlik age categories, for players aged four to eleven, as reported by Pogoń SportNet.
The club is organising a free trial training session, which will take place on Wednesday, 3 September, at Karłowicza 28 in Szczecin. Participation is completely free and carries no obligation. Recruitment for the new teams is already underway, with parents and legal guardians able to register children via an online form, email, or phone.
Who is behind the FS Girls project?
The project is a collaboration between the Pogoń Szczecin Football School and the club's women's section. Training will be overseen by qualified coaching staff. The goal is to create a professional and friendly environment for the youngest female footballers who want to start their sporting journey in the navy and burgundy colours.
Dominika Grosicka, CEO of the women's section of Pogoń Szczecin, emphasised the initiative's importance. "I am very pleased that the women's section of Pogoń Szczecin can support this project and jointly create a space for the youngest girls who want to start their football adventure," said Grosicka.
The training group coordinator at the Pogoń Foundation is Jarosław Grzegorowski. "I am very happy that we can start a girls' team project in the Pogoń Foundation and build it from the ground up, from the youngest categories such as skrzat, żak or orlik," added Grzegorowski.
How to register a child for the training?
Registration is open through several channels. The simplest is to fill out the electronic registration form available via a link. You can also contact the coordinators directly by calling +48 607 709 061 or emailing zapisy@ps-fs.pl. The club assures that training will be tailored to the age and skill level of the participants.
The initiative is part of the broader development of the club's academy and youth structures, which is currently preparing for the autumn fixtures. In the first team, Rajmund Molnár is currently sidelined with an injury, which is factored into the training plans for the coming weeks. The current squad status can be followed on our squad page.
What are the club's plans for the coming months?
The launch of the FS Girls groups is part of the club's long-term strategy of investing in youth. These efforts go hand in hand with the first team's preparations for upcoming Ekstraklasa matches. The next test for Pogoń awaits on 21 November, when they will face Śląsk Wrocław at home. The detailed match schedule is available on our fixtures page.
The club hopes the new project will eventually produce graduates who will join the senior women's teams. It's an investment in the development of women's football in the region. Meanwhile, fans can follow the team's progress in the league table on our standings page. The final registration deadline for the first training cycle has not yet been announced, but the club encourages early contact.
