Pogoń Szczecin is finalizing preparations for the new Ekstraklasa season, and one of the key transfer moves is the signing of a new goalkeeper. Nikolaos Botis, a 22-year-old keeper, will join the Szczecin club after his contract with Olympiakos Piraeus ends. Despite a better financial offer from the Greek club, Botis chose to transfer to Poland. In the last season, he played in two matches in the domestic cup, and previously he was associated with Olympiakos' reserves. His experience also includes the Inter Milan academy and SS Monopoli 1966. Medical tests before signing the contract are scheduled for Tuesday, June 16. At Pogoń Szczecin, Botis will compete for the goalkeeper position with Valentin Cojocaru and Krzysztof Kamiński. Fans are eagerly awaiting his debut in the Ekstraklasa.
