Pogoń Szczecin failed to make a successful start to the new PKO Ekstraklasa season, losing 0-1 to Legia Warsaw. However, the club's management decided to bring some joy to their fans by announcing the arrival of former Jagiellonia Białystok player, Darko Churlinov. The Macedonian winger has joined Pogoń Szczecin on a permanent deal, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028. The agreement includes a clause that allows for an additional 12 months of cooperation. Churlinov will wear the number 21 jersey on the pitch. The 26-year-old was close to joining Widzew Łódź just a few days ago, but he refused to undergo medical tests. He eventually chose to join Pogoń Szecin. His return to PKO Ekstraklasa is undoubtedly one of the biggest transfers of the season. So far, Churlinov has played 26 matches in the league, scoring five goals and providing three assists. Pogoń Szczecin now has another reason to be optimistic about their future. The next challenge for the team's coach will be preparing Darko Churlinov for the match against Slask Wroclaw, which will take place on November 21, 2026.
