Pogoń Szczecin has announced that Martin Masaryk is the new coach of the women's team. The 35-year-old Slovak has signed a four-year contract with the club, marking an important step in Pogoń’s long-term strategy to build a professional and competitive women's football team in Poland. Masaryk comes to Szczecin with extensive experience gained in various countries, including Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Greece. Throughout his career, he has achieved success by leading teams to championships and in Women's Champions League qualifiers. His first major achievement was winning the Slovak championship four times with ŠK Slovan Bratislava. Joining Pogoń Szczecin will also be Erik Flámik, who will serve as the assistant coach and fitness coach. Pogoń's owner, Alex Haditaghi, emphasized the importance of women's football in the club, stating that it is a key element of their future. The hiring of Masaryk and Flámik aims to introduce modern training methods and develop players, aligning with the club's ambitions.
