Pogoń Szczecin prepares for the match against Motor Lublin. Robert Kolendowicz, Pogoń's coach, assures the team is ready for success. In recent years, the Portowcy have been close to winning the Polish Cup and the Ekstraklasa podium. According to Kolendowicz, Duma Pomorza is much hungrier for success than its most formidable rivals on the domestic scene. This is reflected in the movements of the Szczecinians on the transfer market. In the current transfer window, the Granatowo-Bordowych squad has been strengthened by, among others, midfielder José Pozo from Śląsk and Paul Mukairu, a former FC Kopenhagi winger. From Pogoń's perspective, however, the key may be the fact that despite interest from foreign clubs, Efthymios Koulouris, the 28-goal scorer in the previous Ekstraklasa season, will not leave the team. In the second round of the 2025/26 campaign, the Portowcy will be tested by Motor Lublin. The ambitions of the Żółto-Biało-Niebiescy stretch far beyond their seventh-place finish in the previous season. Motor, on the other hand, wants to show that it has consolidated in the elite and poses a real threat to the league's top teams. We will see if it will follow up on the match from November last year, when it defeated Pogoń 4:2.
