Pogoń Szczecin is negotiating with Portuguese defender Pedro Ganchas. He is valued at 1.7 million euros. Duma Pomorza is looking for defensive reinforcements. According to information from Goal.pl, Pogoń Szczecin is negotiating with Pedro Ganchas. The Portuguese defender currently plays for Silkeborg in Denmark, and his transfer to Szczecin would be a concrete move on the market.
Ganchas is a player with a solid football education – he spent many years in the Benfica Lisbon academy, from which he moved to Pacos Ferreira. In the summer of 2024, he moved to Denmark for 400,000 euros, but since then, his market value has risen sharply. Currently, Transfermarkt values the defender at 1.7 million euros. The player has regular appearances in the youth teams of Portugal, passing through the ranks from U17 to U20. In these teams, he played a total of nine matches.
The potential acquisition of the Szczecin player has excellent physical conditions – he measures 190 cm in height and is a left-footed player. He is characterized by great strength in aerial battles. In the last season, he played 35 matches, scoring three goals and recording one assist. His contract with Silkeborg expires at the end of 2028.
Meanwhile, according to other media reports, Pogoń's priority is also the transfer of a central striker. Karol Angielski was allegedly placed on the transfer list. Leonardo Rocha from Raków Częstochowa is on the Portowców's radar, but the transfer seems unlikely.
