In recent hours, the atmosphere between Pogoń Szczecin and Widzew Łódź has become exceptionally tense, especially after Darko Churlinov's failed transfer to the Szczytnian team. Alex Haditaghi, the owner of Pogoń, published a private message from Łukasz Masłowski and then responded publicly, suggesting that in matters between clubs, the owner should speak with another owner, not with a sports director.
Tomasz Włodarczyk, a journalist for Meczyki portal, revealed new information about this conflict. According to his reports, Pogoń Szczecin had previously tried to hire Łukasz Masłowski as the sports director. Włodarczyk stated: 'There is also a broader picture of why Alex Haditaghi's response was so sharp. Because he himself wanted to hire Łukasz Masłowski at Pogoń Szczecin and this did not happen. He may deny it now, but there was definitely an approach and it simply didn’t work out.'
These revelations suggest that the conflict between the clubs may have deeper roots than just competition for Churlinov. Recently, relations between Pogoń Szczecin and Widzew Łódź have become particularly tense, casting new light on their relationship and approach to key player transfers.
